<p><span style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; border-collapse: collapse;">(Proverbs 23:2)&nbsp; &ldquo;&hellip;and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.&rdquo;<br /><br />(Proverbs 29:18 NKJV)&nbsp; &ldquo;Where there is no vision, the people perish&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />Why take care of your body?&nbsp;<br /><br /><strong>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To point people to Christ.</strong><br />(Proverbs 10:17)&nbsp; &ldquo;He who heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.&rdquo;<br /><br />(2 Corinthians 4:10)&nbsp; &ldquo;We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.&rdquo;<br /><br /><strong>2. To bring us into holiness.</strong><br />(1 Thessalonians 4:4-5)&nbsp; &ldquo;Each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God.&rdquo;<br /><br />(1 Thessalonians 5:23)&nbsp; &ldquo;May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.&rdquo;<br /><br /><strong>3. To honor God.</strong><br />(1 Corinthians 6:19-20)&nbsp; &ldquo;Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?&nbsp; You are not your own; you were bought with a price.&nbsp; Therefore honor God with your body.&rdquo;<br /><br /><strong>My Physical Goals for 2010</strong><br /><br /><strong>How to Get There</strong><br /><br />(Proverbs 4:20-22)&nbsp; &ldquo;My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words.&nbsp; Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body.&rdquo;<br /><br /><strong>1. Discipline.</strong><br />(Romans 7:21-23)&nbsp; &ldquo;So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.&nbsp; For in my inner being I delight in God&rsquo;s law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.&rdquo;<br /><br />(Hebrews 12:11)&nbsp; &ldquo;No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.&rdquo;<br /><br /><strong>2. Exercise.</strong><br />(1 Timothy 4:8)&nbsp; &ldquo;For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.&rdquo;<br /><br /><strong>3. Diet.</strong><br />(1 Corinthians 6:12-13)&nbsp; &ldquo;Everything is permissible for me&rdquo;--but not everything is beneficial. &ldquo;Everything is permissible for me&rdquo;--but I will not be mastered by anything.<br /><br /><strong>4. Rest.</strong><br />(Psalm 127:2)&nbsp; &ldquo;In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-- for he grants sleep to those he loves.&rdquo;<br /><br />(Mark 6:31)&nbsp; &ldquo;Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.&rdquo;<br /><br /><strong>5. God.</strong><br />(Romans 8:13)&nbsp; &ldquo;For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.&rdquo;<br /><br />(Proverbs 14:30)&nbsp; &ldquo;A heart at peace gives life to the body&hellip;&rdquo;</span></p>

<title>From Here To There, Part 4: My Relational Life</title>

<p><span style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; border-collapse: collapse;">(Proverbs 29:18 NKJV)&nbsp; &ldquo;Where there is no vision, the people perish&hellip;&rdquo;  Questions to consider:&nbsp;  <strong>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Am I willing to change?</strong> (Matthew 18:3)&nbsp; And he said: &ldquo;I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.&rdquo;  <strong>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Am I willing to put others first?</strong> (Mark 9:35)&nbsp; &ldquo;If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all.&rdquo;  <strong>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Am I willing to let go of the past?</strong> (1 Corinthians 13:5)&nbsp; &ldquo;(Love)&hellip; keeps no record of wrongs.&rdquo;  (Colossians 3:13)&nbsp; &ldquo;Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.&nbsp; Forgive as the Lord forgave you.&rdquo;  <strong>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Am I willing to love as Jesus did?</strong> (John 13:34-35)&nbsp; &ldquo;A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.&nbsp; By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.&rdquo;  My Relational Goals for 2010  <strong>How to Get There</strong> <strong>1.&nbsp; I will nurture my important relationships.</strong> (Galatians 5:13-15)&nbsp; &ldquo;Serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: &lsquo;Love your neighbor as yourself.&rsquo; If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.&rdquo;  <strong>2.&nbsp; I will restore my broken relationships.</strong> (Romans 12:17-18)&nbsp; &ldquo;Do not repay anyone evil for evil&hellip;If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.&rdquo;  <strong>3.&nbsp; I will sever any harmful relationships.</strong> (Proverbs 27:19 GN)&nbsp; &ldquo;A mirror reflects a man&rsquo;s face but what he is really like is shown by the kind of friends he chooses.&rdquo;  (1 Corinthians 15:33)&nbsp; &ldquo;Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character.&rdquo;  (Proverbs 13:20)&nbsp; &ldquo;He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.&rdquo;  (2 Corinthians 6:14)&nbsp; &ldquo;Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. <p><span class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span">(Proverbs 29:18 NKJV)&nbsp; âWhere there is no vision, the people perishââ<br/><br/><b>You are dissatisfied.</b><br/><br/>(Ecclesiastes 2:17)&nbsp; âSo I hated life, because the work that is done under the sun was grievous to me. All of it is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.â<br/><br/>(Proverbs 3:5-6)&nbsp; âTrust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.â<br/><br/><b>You are satisfied.</b><br/><br/>(Philippians 3:13-14)&nbsp; âBrothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.â<br/><br/>(Ephesians 2:10)&nbsp; âFor we are Godâs workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.â<br/><br/>My Work Goals for 2010<br/><br/><b>How to Get There</b><br/><br/><b>1. Be content with your life.</b><br/>(1 Timothy 6:6-8)&nbsp; âBut godliness with contentment is great gain.&nbsp; For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.&nbsp; But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.â<br/><br/>(Romans 8:28)&nbsp; âAnd we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.â<br/><br/><b>2. Consider your vocation your ministry location.</b><br/>(Acts 18:1-4)&nbsp; âAfter this, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth.&nbsp; There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all the Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them, and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them.&nbsp; Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.â<br/><br/><b>3. Be faithful in the small things.</b><br/>(Luke 16:10-12 NLT)&nbsp; âIf you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you wonât be honest with greater responsibilities.&nbsp; And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?&nbsp; And if you are not faithful with other peopleâs things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?â<br/><br/><b>4. Honor the Lord in everything.</b><br/>(Colossians 3:23-24)&nbsp; âWhatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.â<br/><br/>(Matthew 25:23)&nbsp; âHis master replied, âWell done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!ââ</span></span></p>

I wish you were either one or the other!&nbsp; So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth.&rdquo;<br /><br />Where are you?<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><br /><br />&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Hot &ndash; You are growing.<br />(2 Thessalonians 1:3)&nbsp; &ldquo;We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.&rdquo;<br /><br />&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cold &ndash; You do not know God yet.<br />(2 Corinthians 4:4)&nbsp; &ldquo;The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.&rdquo;<br /><br />&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Lukewarm &ndash; You are drifting.<br />(Hebrews 2:1)&nbsp; &ldquo;We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.&rdquo;<br /><br />My Spiritual Goals for 2010<br /><br />What does the ultimate spiritual life look like for you?<br /><br />How to Get There<br /><br /><strong>1. Know God intimately.</strong><br />(Jeremiah 29:13-14)&nbsp; &ldquo;You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.&nbsp; I will be found by you,&rdquo; declares the LORD.<br />(1 Corinthians 15:34)&nbsp; &ldquo;Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><strong><br />2. Share Christ effectively.</strong><br />(2 Corinthians 5:19-20)&nbsp; &ldquo;God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men&rsquo;s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.&nbsp; We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.&rdquo;<br /><br /><strong>3. <title>Hope, Part 3: The Source of Hope</title>

<description><![CDATA[(Luke 2:8-14)&nbsp; And there were shepherds living out in the fields
nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.&nbsp; An angel of the Lord
appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they
were terrified.&nbsp; But the angel said to them, âDo not be afraid. I bring
you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.&nbsp; Today in
the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the
Lord.&nbsp; This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in
cloths and lying in a manger.â&nbsp; Suddenly a great company of the
heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, âGlory
to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor
rests.â<br/>

faith in Him. Then youâll overflow with hopeââ<br/><br/><br/>1. Godâs presence.<br/>(Psalm 62:5)&nbsp; âFind rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.â<br/>
(Isaiah 40:31)&nbsp; ââthose who hope in the Lord will renew their
strength.&nbsp; They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not
grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.â<br/><br/>2. Godâs promise.<br/>(Psalm 119:81)&nbsp; âMy soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word.â<br/>
(Psalm 119:105) âYour word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.â<br/>(Lamentations
3:21-23)&nbsp; âYet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:&nbsp; Because
of the LORDâs great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never
fail.&nbsp; They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.â<br/>
<br/>3. Godâs process.<br/>(Romans 5:2-4)&nbsp; âAnd we rejoice in the hope of
the glory of God.&nbsp; Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings,
because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance,
character; and character, hope.â<br/>
(Romans 8:28)&nbsp; âAnd we know that in all things God works for the good
of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.â<br/><br/>4. Godâs purpose.<br/>(Jeremiah
29:11)&nbsp; âFor I know the plans I have for you,â declares the LORD,
âplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a
future.â<br/>
<br/>5. Godâs place.<br/>(John 14:1-2)&nbsp; âDo not let your hearts be
troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.&nbsp; In my Father's house are
many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there
to prepare a place for you.â<br/>

gift of eternal life; it is kept in heaven for youâAnd God, in His
mighty power, will make sure that you get there safely to receive it

and the gall.&nbsp; I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.â<br/>
<br/><ul><li>Past problems.</li></ul>

(Job 30:26)&nbsp; âYet when I hoped for good, evil came; when I looked for light, then came darkness.â<br/><br/><ul><li>Past mistakes.</li></ul>

(Job 27:8)&nbsp; âFor what hope has the godless when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?<br/>
<br/><ul><li>Past relationships.</li></ul>

(Job 19:19)&nbsp; âAll my intimate friends detest me; those I love have turned against me.â<br/><br/>(Lamentations

103:10-12)&nbsp; âHe does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us

has he removed our transgressions from us.â<br/>
<br/>(Micah 7:18)&nbsp; âWho is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives
the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance?&nbsp; You do not stay
angry forever but delight to show mercy.â<br/><br/>(Romans 3:22 LB)&nbsp; âGod
says He will accept and acquit us â declare us ânot guiltyâ â if we
trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins.&nbsp; And we all can be saved in
the same way, by coming to Christ, no matter who we are or what we have

<br/><b>Symptoms:</b><br/><br/><i>Disoriented.</i><br/>(Job 17:13)&nbsp; âWhere then is my hope?&nbsp; Who can see any hope for me?â<br/><br/><i>Drifting.</i><br/>(Isaiah 53:6)&nbsp; âWe all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way.â<br/>
<br/><i>Despair.</i><br/>(2 Corinthians 1:8)&nbsp; âWe were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life.â<br/><br/><b>What is Hope?</b><br/>Hope is a confident expectation based on something solid.<br/>

<br/>(Psalm 42:11)&nbsp; âWhy are you downcast, O my soul?&nbsp; Why so disturbed
within me?&nbsp; Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior
and my God.â<br/><br/><b>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Hope is anchored to something unseen.</b><br/>(2
Corinthians 4:17-18)&nbsp; âFor our light and momentary troubles are
achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.&nbsp; So we
fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is
seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.â<br/>

<title>Servolution, Part 5: The Power of Doing Good</title>

Christ than when they are adding value to someone elseâs life.&nbsp; And
people who are far from God are rarely more impacted than when they see
21st-Century Christ-followers behaving as Christ behaved.â<br/>
~Bill Hybels<br/><br/>Title of my Message:&nbsp; The Power of Doing Good<br/><br/>(Titus
3:8)&nbsp; âI want you to stress these things, so that those who have
trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is
good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.â<br/>
<br/>(Titus 3:1)&nbsp; âRemind the people to be ready to do whatever is good.â<br/><br/>(Titus
3:14)&nbsp; â(Christ-followers) must learn to devote themselves to doing
what is good, in order that they may not live unproductive lives.â<br/>
<br/>Three Important Questions<br/><br/>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Why should I do good?<br/><br/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Doing good is Godâs destiny for me.<br/><br/>(Ephesians
2:10)&nbsp; âFor we are Godâs workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do
good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.â<br/>
<br/>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Where should I do good?<br/><br/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Do good wherever I am.<br/><br/>(Luke
10:25-37)&nbsp; On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus.
âTeacher,â he asked, âwhat must I do to inherit eternal life?â <br/>
<br/>âWhat is written in the Law?â he replied. âHow do you read it?â&nbsp; He
answered: â âLove the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your strength and with all your mindâ ; and,
âLove your neighbor as yourself.â &quot;<br/>
<br/>âYou have answered correctly,â Jesus replied. âDo this and you will live.â<br/><br/>But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, âAnd who is my neighbor?â<br/><br/>In
reply Jesus said: âA man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when
he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes,
beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.&nbsp; A priest happened to be
going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the
other side.&nbsp; So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him,
passed by on the other side.&nbsp; But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came
where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.&nbsp; He went
to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. <br/>
Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care
of him.&nbsp; The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the
innkeeper. âLook after him,â he said, âand when I return, I will
reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.ââ<br/>
<br/>âWhich of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who
fell into the hands of robbers?â&nbsp; The expert in the law replied, âThe
one who had mercy on him.â&nbsp; Jesus told him, âGo and do likewise.â<br/><br/>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; How should I do good?<br/>
<br/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Do good however the Spirit leads me.<br/><br/>(Matthew
9:35-38)&nbsp; Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in
their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing
every disease and sickness.&nbsp; When he saw the crowds, he had compassion
on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a
shepherd.&nbsp; Then he said to his disciples, âThe harvest is plentiful but
the workers are few.&nbsp; Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send
out workers into his harvest field.â<br/>
